Headcanon || Blinded by the Whitelighter
Okay so basically Paige is trying to get more involved in the magical community or rather trying to get witches to have to take on mentees and she brought this up with The Elders. They liked the idea enough, but wanted her to do a trial run with her charges. She organized a big brother/sister program with a few of her more experienced charges where the witches would meet 2-3 times a week.
Benji was one of the first on her list to get matched off with Clark Mercer, despite his protest. Clark heard stories from Paige about how Benji was somewhat of a problem kid, but only because he would try and help with problems that were much too big for someone as inexperienced as him to be involved with.
