Pagani Huayra BC "The Ultimate Masterpiece with my DNA". The Pagani Huayra BC is the most technologically advanced Huayra Coupé yet, introducing innovative technical solutions which will be applied in the Pagani cars of the future. This not just a "restyling" of the Huayra, but a product that includes innovative changes in every part of the vehicle. It's a car that has a completely different personality to that of the Huayra Coupé. Conceived primarily as road going car that will give the maximum exhilaration and performance during track days and special events, the Pagani Huayra BC has been inspired by its "track focused" predecessors: the Pagani Zonda R and the Zonda Cinque. The name "BC" represents the initials of Benny Caiola, a person who has greatly inspired Horacio Pagani over the years. Benny was so impressed by the passion and technology of the cars Horacio was designing from the very beginning, he made history as the first customer to buy a Pagani Automobile. The Pagani Huayra BC powered by the masterpiece of an engine the Mercedes-AMG M158 V12 biturbo engine 6.0L 800HP and 1100Nm of Torque. Exclusively Handcrafted by Michael Kübler @f1mike28 in Germany Affalterbach. Driving Performance is our Passion! Mercedes-AMG the Performance and Sports Car Brand from Mercedes-Benz and Exclusive Partner for Pagani Automobili. Mercedes-AMG Handcrafted by Racers. Awesome shot by the very talented: @andrewlink Congratulations to the Caiola family for the delivery of this historical masterpiece 🙏🏼

The Pagani Huayra BC debuts! via evo
The hardcore version of the Huayra was already leaked a couple of weeks ago, but today it debuts ahead of the Geneva Motor Show 2016! The first thing to mention is that ‘BC’ is a tribute to the late Benny Caiola, Pagani’s first ever customer. He died in 2010, but he was an avid Pagani fan and bought a few Zondas (two out of the four Zondas in the US), amongst many other supercars such as two Ferrari FXXs! Basically he used to be a famous car collector and his collection was pretty impressive. To give you more context as to why Horacio Pagani named this Huayra after Benny, he was also very good friends with Horacio and a mentor to him. In 2000, Benny wrote a letter to Horacio thanking him for the Zonda which is framed on the Pagani factory wall to this day. Benny wrote that car was the “Michelangelo of the industry” and that Paganis managed to give him something that no other car could have done in his collection. He just sounded like an all-round nice guy.
The letter:
Dear Mr. Pagani,
I have been fortunate enough during my lifetime to own some of the finest automobiles on the market. Being an avid collector of Ferrari I had often thought there couldn't be a finer or more exotic vehicle made. That was until I owned a Pagani. This car is the Michelangelo of the industry. I am truly honoured to own one.
I have enclosed a check for $1000.00. Please treat your mechanics to a fine dinner as a token of my appreciation for their spectacular workmanship. The Pagani is truly a work of art!
Sincerely,
Mr. Benny Caiola
Now you’re probably wondering about what changes have occurred. There are lots and lots and what you should know is that this car now has a better power-to-weight ratio than the 918 Spyder and the P1. It now produces 800hp from the same twin-turbo AMG V12 mated to a new gearbox which is still a single-clutch but gear-change times have been shortened. A revised chassis means that it now has adjustable Ohlins dampers, some of Brembo’s newest ceramic brakes, and a rear e-diff. The carbon fibre that Pagani have used is 50% lighter and 20% stronger than normal carbon!
As you can see, the car has parts that remind you of the Zonda R and indeed, Pagani say that this is basically the Zonda R version of the Huayra, but it’s road-legal. There are a raft of changes that have gone into the Huayra that there’s really too many to list. Just expect this car to be super-fast around a track. Considering that the Huayra has been top of the Top Gear leaderboard and the Zonda R broke the Nurburgring record for fastest production-based car, the Huayra BC could possibly be faster than the P1.
So evo magazine and Top Gear have been the first to review the early prototype no.2 of the Huayra BC. What do they think? Well as it was a prototype, it was only running at approx. 760hp according to evo and it was about 60% ready. It supposedly sounds more aggressive now, but obviously it can never match the sound of the Zonda R (nothing will) but the main thing is the car now feels like a proper racing car with purpose. Evo claim there’s a bit of understeer but it’s easily exploitable with the massive torque and the new chassis-setup.
Only 20 of these will be produced and they’re going at €2.35m. Plus they’re already all sold. It will be interesting to see what kind of a lap time the BC does on the Nurburgring.
