I'm staying on the biker tip. I am amazingly still finding stuff out about some pioneering bikers who did amazing things which were for the most part ignored by the wider biker community. That's right the old "ism" raised it's destructive head. Another part of history was willfully pushed aside.
I now know a little bit about original Chopper Don SUGAR BEAR. I'd rather you watch the video and learn about him in his own words. It is fascinating , frustrating and very illuminating. You will learn just exactly who built the cool bikes in the movie Easy Rider.
So many extraordinary cool stories in this documentary. Read up more on this subject at this site Soul On Bikes & Black Chrome there is a segment on bike building legend Benny Hardy is included as well. Be sure to watch Part Two and Part 3.
If I could get a copy of Soul Spokes or Soulful Wheels Black Biker Magazines I'd be one happy lady!
I won't lie the movie Biker Boyz is a guilty pleasure of mine. I will be re-watching it and am hoping I could possibly see things that I will now be able to recognise with my new found knowledge. But I think it likely that they missed a trick with that film.
