These glass boxes project forward from the building's brick front and will be used to display clothing, once a tenant moves into the store. The tenant will also complete the store's fit out. #repost • @ben_van_berkel In the design for the Green Cape Spa Resort in Batumi, Georgia, we wanted the facility to act as a subtle reflection of the surrounding natural landscape. Due to the area’s unique subtropical climate and proximity to the Batumi Botanical Garden, the environment around the Spa is host to an incredible variety of flora and fauna. The resulting design incorporates this ecosystem into the resort in order to encourage mindfulness and to emphasise the resort’s role as a place of healing and focus on the inner-self, away from the outside stresses of daily life. #repost • @unstudio_architecture Having remained vacant for decades, the Piraeus Tower in Greece had come to be known as ‘the sleeping giant’ (swipe right). Our proposal for its regeneration is centred on remodeling the facade, to give the tower a new image and thus attracting a new community. But we also wanted to retain the international style of the original tower design, and the reference to the grid made famous by Hippodamus, considered the father of European urban planning.
