20 First Lines

@mostlikelytofangirl tagged me to share the first lines of my 20 latest fanfics~

Unfortunately, although I have written (or started) A LOT of fics, I haven’t posted much of them. *ahem* So... here’s some stuff I dug up. A lot of these probably won’t be official first lines because I might decide to change them later, but they are the current opening lines in my notes. ^^’ For the fics that haven’t been posted, I’ll link to my tags for them instead (some don’t have tags though, so sadly no links). Also, some of the WIP titles are working titles and might be subject to change later.

The Perks of Being A Superhero (Ioryuu, Boueibu) "Hey, Io," Ryuu suddenly broke the room's technology-induced silence from where he had sprawled out on his back along the foot of Io's bed, dropping his phone to his chest in thought, "You ever wonder about Wombat's English?"

Candy Hearts and Chocolate Kisses (Akorima, Boueibu) ‘There is no excuse for doing anything which is not strikingly beautiful.’

For Love And War (Ioryuu, Akorima, Enatsu, Boueibu Medieval Fantasy AU) Once upon a time, there were three powerful kingdoms divided from the others by a great mountain range called The Terra Mountains.

Baby You Slay Me (Could be seen as Ioryuu or Gen, Boueibu) It was an ordinary day like any other in the Defense Club room.

Forever Nevermore (Ioryuu, Boueibu Angels and Demons AU) Angels and demons were fundamentally different.

Unnamed Pillow Boys fic (Ryuushi/Nao) The cafeteria was noisier than usual today, pockets of chatter rising and dropping around each table as he walked by, but Ryuushi didn't mind it much.

Gentle Hands (Arima-centered, Gen, Boueibu) For as long as he could remember, he had been having this recurring dream.

Selfishly Selfless (Atsushi-centered, Enatsu, Boueibu) (It was because of this that) En couldn’t help noticing that Atsushi was quieter than usual.

Draco’s Twin Headaches (Gen, Harry Potter, features OCs) “Watch where you’re going!” Draco Malfoy declared, turning sharply to face the intruder who’d bumped into him from behind.

Unnamed Harry Potter ficlet (Gen, Harry Potter, features OCs) “Looks like it’s gotten late out.” Kyle sighed as she and her brother moved quickly and steadily on their way to the Hufflepuff commons.

Another unnamed Harry Potter ficlet (Gen, Harry Potter, features OCs) Kyle bounded into the Great Hall with her brother closely in tow.

Yet another unnamed Harry Potter ficlet (Gen, Harry Potter, features OCs) A streak of emerald in the corner of their vision prompted the twins to halt in surprise just before they were pulled into a warm and enthusiastic embrace.

Unnamed Free! fic (Kisuikuasa [Kisumi/Ikuya/Asahi], Free!) Asahi was currently stuck at a not particularly problematic but still slightly frustrating dilemma.

Passion’s Play (Akorima, Boueibu Moulin Rouge! AU) Arima never wanted what his family had planned for him.

Flight Rising AU (Boueibu, features OCs)

The Student Council’s origin stories (for the Kinakorima storyline) Rosette had stopped to rest for a moment or two in The Gladeveins, finding herself quite relaxed and at peace in the beauty of the wildlife around her.

Aki and Haru ask for advice about courtship (for the Beppuyumo storyline) Kinshiro’s eyes were immediately drawn to the meek sound of his name and he noticed the twins standing awkwardly in the entrance of the lair.

Ryuu’s general thoughts on Io (for the Ioryuu storyline) Ryuu liked Io's wings.

Ryuu is afraid of Akoya being competition (for the Ioryuu storyline) “Leave Io alone!” Before Ryuu knew what she was saying, the words were already out of her mouth.

Cute Punk AU (Ioryuu, Boueibu) "You really believe in that romance stuff?" Io asked.

[I started writing a scene for it, but I decided I’m probably not going to ever do anything more with it, so it’s in @purplerose128‘s hands. She actually wrote/rewrote more of that scene, so that’s no longer the official opening line for it. I just wanted to share what I had for the sake of it.]

Binan Koukou: Remastered (Gen mostly, Boueibu season 1 rewrite) Everything was completely under control.

A Very Supernatural Nightmare Before Christmas (Destiel, Supernatural Nightmare Before Christmas AU) “So, has Dean finally removed his oversized pumpkin head from his ass already and declared you his blushing bride? Though, if anyone’s the bride, it’s gonna be him,” Gabriel stated while Castiel sat sewing the sleeve back onto his coat.

That’s technically more than 20 lines/fics, but oh well. This is the bulk of what I’ve been working on. I’m so sorry I’m not more productive. I had so many plans I just couldn’t live up to. ;;v;;

An AU that I’ve been thinking about for a while--Akiyumo Spirited Away AU feat Yumoto as Chihiro, Akihiko (”Aki”) as Haku, and En as Lin/Rin. Wombat’s probably Kamaji, and Zundar and Dadacha are probably (slightly less antagonistic, maybe?) Yubaba and Zeniba, respectively.

Megawa andthe first-year triplets from S1E3~ <3 <3 <3 <3

Cuteundercover badass Megawa and his legion of love! I mean, how freakingadorable?! The mental image of the triplets excitedly running up to him to givehim cuddles when they see him, and the four of them running Megawa’s honeystand together is the most precious thing to me. And I could go on about thesefour andthe scenario I have in my head about them forever, but I think I’ll cut myself off here because otherwise this postwill never end. ;;w;;

💢Shipthat is most misunderstood: Beppukin and Beppuyumo

I’m not sure if these are exactly “misunderstood”ships or if it’s just the fact that I like them that seems misunderstood, but Ireally do like them (platonic or romantic) and I want to talk about it. For me,both of these ships are situational… like a lot of my ships are. In an AUsetting where certain things went differently and/or with a lot of charactergrowth from everyone involved, I feel like the dynamics in these ships have alot of potential to be something really cute… as I will proceed to brieflyexplain under a cut just to be safe.

What I really love about Beppukin is the potential forKinshirou to become a sort of mentor to the twins. The twins following afterhim at his heels all the time and Kinshirou acting as though he’s annoyed by itbecause it’s his duty as the Student Council President to take them under hiswings, but secretly he enjoys it and is more fond of them than he’ll admit. Ofcourse, everyone else knows and they’re not buying his excuses. But whetherromantic or platonic, I feel like they’d fit well together and I just have alot of feelings about them in general that I won’t go into detail about becausethen I’d REALLY never get to the end of this post if I had to explain an entireAU setting. //shot

But basically, Kinshirou deserves to have so much love andaffection and attention focused on him, okay? And the twins are shameless withtheir adoration and their attention, so Kinshirou wouldn’t have to feel insecureor like he was being abandoned. Kinshirou wouldn’t take advantage of the twinsor try to make them do things they aren’t comfortable with either. He wouldrespect them and want them to respect themselves as well, so they wouldn’t haveto put on that act around him. Also,Kinshirou wouldn’t let them get away with unhealthy behaviors, so no moregetting off without a scolding. These three can each be overbearing in their ownways, though, and it would be something they’d have to get used to, but overtime they would learn how to respect each other’s space and adjust to eachother’s individual routines. But the thing that really got me hooked on thisship while I was plotting an AU was how, considering the similarities of whatKinshirou and the twins went through and how their character arcs developed, theycan understand each other and continue to grow and redeem themselves together(with the twins under Kinshirou’s guidance).

As for Beppuyumo, I love how cute and fluffy it has the potential tobe. They fillthat vulnerable space that each of them has. Especially how Yumotohas enough love to make up for what the twins lacked from other humans all thistime and the twins have a lot of affection that Yumoto needs from someone otherthan his brother.I also think it’s adorable how Yumoto wants someone to cuddle with and thetwins seem to be the only ones (at least at school) who like it. So, becausethere’s two of them and they’ll actually cuddle Yumoto back, Yumoto getstwice the affection. And when Yumoto doesn’t stand up for himself, thetwins could stand up for him. They’re a lot more direct when it comes to that sort ofthing, so they’d want to make sure that he’s okay and that people don’t getaway with just stepping all over him because he doesn’t want to fight. Ofcourse, a lot of character development and/or an AU scenario that I don’t feellike describing in detail would have to happen to get them to that point, but hellI’m dedicated to my situational ships and the stories that come with them. LikeI said, there’s potential~ >v<

I saw this sketch prompt by @glowyskull and wanted to draw Yumoto, Haru, and Aki having a sleepover because this is really cute and I think it fits them pretty well. Or at least the thought amused me enough to actually draw it~

Haru seems to be contemplating the merits of physically removing Yumoto's foot from his face even though he's sure it'll just come back again sooner or later. "Is this the kind of thing Aki likes? How does he enjoy this?"

Meanwhile, Aki looks like he's reevaluating his existence: "I haven't slept in years, my life has no meaning, I used to think Haru was bad, I should have been prepared for this."

Yumoto's just having a good time, sleeping soundly and happily, probably dreaming of something pleasant.

Definitely Yumoto asdfjkase. Aki’s polite enough, but Yumoto’s the only one who’s the most friendly.

One would think it was Yumoto, but in this case it’s actually Aki. He does it while in deep sleep and usually ends up pulling Yumoto closer as well by virtue of Yumoto barely clinging to the blankets too.

Yumoto does it accidentally, but he usually gets around to it later. Aki has his moments, too, due to not being entirely used to having to do the dishes himself since...8, maybe?

tries to surprise their (quasiplatonic life) partner more often

leaves dirty laundry on the floor

Yumoto does it a fair bit because in his excitement, he can be a little shortsighted orz. Aki ends up sometimes having to remind him.

stays up til 2 AM reading

...Neither for the most part. Aki’s had his moments, but more with idol events schedules than anything.
