           ❛   ─  SO  UH ,  LONG STORY SHORT ...  it  went  south  real  fast .  she  had ,  uh ,  allergies .  ❜  there’s  a  hint  of  embarrassment  in  jesse’s  voice ,  almost  reluctant  to  talk  about  his  most  recent  date .  a  date  soojin  had  set  him  up  with ,  naturally .  what  once  sounded  like  a  good  &  exciting  idea  now  made  the  boy  feel ,  well ,  some  type  of  way .  ❛  i  don’t  know  bro ,  i  just--  i  can’t  date  a  person  who  is  allergic  to  animals .  i  mean  look  at  them !  ❜  hand  gestures  towards  the  two  large  cananines  walking  beside  jesse  with  their  tongues  out ,  all  too  happy  to  be  spending  another  day  outside .  ❛  they’re  babies !  ❜   sighing  heavily ,  the  guy  lowered  his  head .  ❛  maybe  i  should  just  not  go  on  dates  for  a  while .  l ike ,  i  already  have  dara  &  zoro  and  you  guys  with  me .   that’s  enough !  ❜

             ❛ MORNING ,  SOOJIN . ❜  she  greets  him  in  her  usual  quiet  tone ,  though  it’s  been  quieter  for  about  two  months  now .  though  mina  had  been  doing  her  very  best  not  to  focus  on  ‘ the  bad  stuff ’ ,  she  also  felt  as  though  all  progress  she’d  made  over  the  past  year  had  been  for  naught .  her  friend  &  mentor  was  gone ;  the  one  person  who’d  trusted  her  to  save  people  —  she  couldn’t  save  him .  fumbling  with  her  gloves ,  the  girl  spoke  again ,  ❛  i  know  i’ve  been  slacking  on  the ,  uh , ‘ mina  2.0 ′  thing  lately  but ...  it’s  nothing  against  you  or  anything .  ❜  in  the  simplest  terms ,  the  macaria  child  was  tired .  not  physically ,  but  in  general .  ❛  in  any  case ,  i  was  thinking  we  could ...  i  don’t  know ,  do  something  a  bit ...  simpler  today ?  if  that’s  okay  with  you ,  if  you’re  not  busy ...  ❜
