/////// JOHN ROBERTSON ///////
John Robertson is a comedian, writer and MC in a constant state of world tour. He created the Youtube hit "The Dark Room", now a touring live show and sometimes crowd surfs. Makes things up. Several jokes also.
A comic and actor for nine years, his one- man shows, "Blood & Charm" and "Dragon Punch" drew rave reviews at the 2011 Edinburgh Fringe. He plays ukulele and banjo, does impressions, goes nuts, hosts anime and science fiction conventions, corporate events, does voice- overs, has out- drawn Billy Connolly twice in the same venue and was once described as "a comedian so incredibly alive he must have sold his soul" (ThreeWeeks UK).
Praise for solo shows:
***** - “if your tastes run to the dark, you must see this show” - British Comedy Guide
**** “stylish, alternative, funny” - Chortle
“Brilliant, bemusing and bloodthirsty” - Metro
“A tightly- scripted surreal monologue full of fascinating true stories”- List
"Instantly likeable with a charming and cheeky smile - the audience favourite" - The Daily (Slovakia)
“A hotly- tipped comedian for a good reason…. a passionate show with plenty to enjoy”- Skinny
“John Robertson is a captivating storyteller – and he knows it…. Skillfully balances surprise and expectation… grimly compelling stuff.” - Scotsman
“a comedian so incredibly alive he must have sold his soul” - ThreeWeeks
"The highlight was Robertson - he's funny and sharp (and possibly just as manic as his furry friends)" - The Daily Telegraph
