Zai and Bernard were so gullible. They both listened to these random children out of nowhere. Yes, the children were correct. But what if they weren't? It's not like it would have been horrible. Zai's child would still unfortunately die and Bernard would be adopting a hermit, but why would you listen to spooky children? At that point in time, they should be punted across the yard. Mystical children in what is most likely the 1800s? Absolutely not. Why would grown adults believe children?
