Okay guys, here’s what’s up:
Bert Case is a legendary journalist in central Mississippi. He’s been on the air in some shape or form since the 60s. He’s one of those old hard-boiled investigative journalists who gets up in people’s business for the facts -- his most famous moment was when our sitting Governor threatened to “whoop his ass”. On camera. (Gov. Fordice’s words, not mine; he was a whole other legendary character...)
Anyway, Bert has taken ill; he has an infection of indeterminate origin and is in the hospital, in critical condition and on a ventilator. I was trying to find an update on his condition and ended up finding this... collaboration... with our local Top 40 station.
And it cracked my shit up so I thought it should get shared around. You don’t get a career like his by being afraid to follow a changing culture.
