Lunch at Bertmans in Rotterdam. That was a lovely experience. A bit crowded and noisy though, but the service was great. The waitress was considerate in relation to our huge buggy. Food was fenomenal for the eye and palate. Except for the lentils: too uncooked for me. I mentioned it to the waitress and she came back with the following: cook did that on purpose; lentils al dente, because otherwise it would blend and than it’s not usable for a salad. Hmmm…still, next time they may cook it a bit longer for me. The lentils won’t fall apart based on my cooking experience. Waitress said they would honor my request. What I didn't tell her was it would be better to digest if it was cooked a bit longer. I guess I got hold back, because I got the feeling that it was a kind of place where they care more about appearance (lentils al dente) in stead of digesting it easier.

Food fotografie en social media

Voor Destino (Spaans tapasrestaurant) en Bertmans (kleine broer, ontbijt & lunch) houd ik de social media kanalen Facebook en Instagram bij.

Beide zaken hebben een eigen, uniek verhaal die zij online vertellen. Bij Destino draait het bijvoorbeeld om de liefde voor Spanje en alles wat het culinair brengt. Bij Bertmans zijn de gek van groente en daarmee maken ze heerlijke, vernieuwende gerechten.

Naast het maken van de foto’s houd in de online interactie bij en bedenk ik manieren om de doelgroepen te vergroten.
