Bertram hurriedly opened the window, that had it’s lid closed. “You need to stop being so reckless! Nothing good ever comes out from jumping through glass-”

He cut himself, and glanced at Daffy with blinking, nervous eyes. “Uhhh… hang on, have you tried to fly before or…?”

          “Oh. Right...” Daffy laughed nervously, seeing how he had just been about to jump through a pane of glass. That might have thrown off his takeoff. He soon got over it though, attention going back to the window ledge. “Of course I have! It was like last week!” He paused a moment. “Or… was it last year? Or, wait… how long ago was 1947? Ahh, well! It’s like riding a bike! You never forget how to do it!” --- It probably didn’t help that he didn’t know how to ride a bike either. “Just stand back, and watch a MASTER flyer in action!” He proclaimed, bending down to make his leap.

Soon enough, a ear-piercing scream erupted from the guest bedroom where the cat would stay during his visit to Acmetropolis. Without a second of delay, Proto shot up from the bed, his body drenched in sweat and his eyes enlarged with dread. Whatever the nightmare involved, it rattled the feline to the very core, but fortunately insufficient to paralyze him on the spot.

As he tried to relax, a series of knocks on his door startled him; no doubt one of the Loonatics had heard about the noise and came to investigate. Half-sleepily, the cyborg got off and pressed a small button on the side, causing the piece of metal to slide away and reveal the bat beyond it.

“Oh, Bertram!” Proto said, bringing one hand to his face to wipe away his tears. “Sorry, I’ve just had a bad dream.”

A Fall And A Kiss

Embarrassing as it was, Bertram was unable to stay mad at Tech; it was just an accident, so he would rather take it with a good sense of humor, hence the comment he did after… five minutes of awkward silence between the two.

“My lips are sealed.” He nodded calmly, carefully standing up. “…I’m fine, no worries, what about you? You did fell from a pretty high place.”

The coyote, dusted himself off again just to make sure there wasn’t anything on him and shook his head to Bertram. “No I’m good, I didn’t hit the ground that hard. Had a big soft pillow to land on after all.” He said with a smile towards the bat.

Tech pulled down his ears quickly, hiding the blush spreading across the inside of them. “You didn’t see anything.” He hissed at Bertram, looking away from the bat. After a few seconds of calming down he let them go to rub at his knees. The fall hadn’t been fun, and landing on Bertram didn’t really add a better tone to it. Flowers For The Dead

Tech knew a great deal, almost everything if you asked him. However it seemed he had run into a wall today. A wall that he had been banging his head against for the past two hours. Finally hope had come in the form of a coworker mentioning a florist. A florist who if rumors were true was magical with plants.

A quick talk with said coworker and another quick word with his boss and he was off to the flower shop that this Bertram bat worked at. He made his way into flower shop looking around in the building for the bat, speaking out loudly. “Hello? I’m looking for Bertram Bat.”

A loud slam echoed through the metallic corridors of the hidden base, that was no longer a secret as an intruder had made his way in.

And Bertram had just caught the one in question.

The bat had just surprised Tech and slammed him into the wall with a single swing of his wing. Holding the coyote by his neck, claws nearly piercing the skin there, the large Looney growled lowly in a menacing way as he felt the pulse under his long claws. This was the first time he had encountered one of the Loonatics in person, but he was not going to mess up this chance.

“Showing up unannounced… no wonder my masters’ are so ticked off at you.” The bat’s voice was cold, no signal of emotion as he squeezed the Coyote’s neck more. “You disturbed their peace, and I’m not letting you get away with that.”

Tech let out a loud yelp as he was slammed against the wall, claws out as he grabbed along the wing and tried to push it away from him. As usual though the one holding him was much stronger than him. He ‘d have to start training with Slam at some point to hopefully get stronger.

He continued to try anyway, but he knew at this point it wouldn’t matter. with a good deal of confidence behind him, the coyote spoke after the other finished talking. “We’re Loonatics, of course we’re here to disturb the peace. Haven’t you seen the news holo’s.” With that said the green coyote’s paws began to glow a very bright green; along with all the metallic walls along the hallway.
