❝ Oh, you’re... ❞ She spares a glance around the Velvet Room, slight confusion spreading out alongside her grin. “Um... Is Theo busy...?” She had recalled him speaking of siblings, but never once has she laid eyes on one of them before. Apparently the oddities never cease!

Baaj; it seemed as old as it was decrepit. In only five or so years it was reduced to this: ruins and rubble, the hammering tide and torrential rains continued to eat away at its foundations. When, she wondered, ( stepping over a large column’s crumbled remains with her large companion’s help,) would the city cease to be? They were all standing in the results, the very testament of Sin’s power.
She overheard the brief history of the ground she stood on, how even this used to be a city once, how summoners like herself would travel just to obtain a fayth here, like herself. Halfway through, Lulu’s lesson is tuned out. There are markings from that of a child just below her feet, and the unease only settled further into her belly. Tidus and Rikku had been here before, when he had first come to Spira, he said, so at least one of them knew their way around. Somehow, it’s a relief, if only slight. She trusted in their judgement.
They all walked farther in, past the cascading foregrounds and into the halls below for the Fayth that lie therein. What transpired couldn’t be avoided. The stars that aligned so that the heel of her thick-soled boot stepped on the wrong tile; years-weakened brick and mortar falling out from beneath her feet. Tidus’ hand grasped her own, his reflexes quicker than most, but the wet leather was slipping, and her wrist was losing strength. Don’t let go. Please, don’t let go...
She slips through his fingers, and down, deep into the sodom below.
It’s some time before Yuna wakes; head throbbing on her right side. Her head, fuzzy with static and träumerei, nearly falls forward into the drink she had spilled into. Even if she could manage to see straight, there would be nothing there. Save for the firelight flickering in through the gaping hole she had left, the corridor, and assuming labyrinth, remained black as pitch the farther it stretched. Its halls flooded with sea and rain water that would cause anyone to need to wade through— and so she does, if only using the waterlogged rock she had just been against for support’s sake.
“ Everyone...! ” She calls out as loud as she can muster, up-up-upward, but to no avail. Words only parrot from behind, but they are her own. “ Please— Anyone, can you hear me!? ” Once again, she causes the stone walls to reverberate, nothing more.
... and that is when it dawned on the Lady Summoner: ...She was alone, and there was no turning back.

“Ah, my dear sisters, might either of you be so kind as to relay a message to Master Igor for me?”
“... I’m -- I’m afraid I am not currently permitted in his presence, having ... having accidentally closed the Compendium on his nose, this morning.”
