TALES OF MAGIC CARTA | DEVLOG #3 🌟Card Collection in progress!

Hi again! Took a little hiatus during July but I'M BACK AND I'M DETERMINED!

Progress updates:

New menu UI is partially completed

Cards you reveal now go into your "collection" and the memory persists on reload

Cards in your collection have different states: locked, new, and viewed

Cards can be filtered through by game

Filled out 1/3 of the character data

Added more BGM and randomized it during actual gameplay

Fixed a TON a bugs 🐛

Enjoyed the very real spiral that comes with scope creep

Unfortunately, I ended up having to rework the card collection into something way more simplified than I'd intended. You would not believe the nonsense I was prepared to do before LOL But as sad as it was to scrap it, I think it was definitely the right choice since designing three different screens and animating 20 different backgrounds was a maniac's dream LOL Here's the current state of it:

That's it for now! Hopefully I can get it looking more polished soon. The surprisingly time consuming part of all of this is now filling out all the character details and deciding on quotes—which I thought would be relatively simple compared to everything else but is taking much longer than I thought. BUT HEY Just gotta take it one step at a time! Thanks for reading!!

When i saw Flowery, after the shock, the only thing i could think is how he reminds me of Guy Cecil from Tales of the Abyss

I feel if Guy meet him, he would be irritated by him like Ralsei did. Flowery seems being skilled in pissing off people by being annoying (i still love Flowery just think is very funny)
