Besk's demand is met with a guttural groan. "It's just one day of exams. I have time to be better!"
"You said you worked on that green house. Does anyone live there? I've walked passed it on my way home a few nights but I never noticed anyone."
Emil laughs heartily, "And here I thought you were readying to leave. No one lives in the old green house. The buyer never showed up"
Raising 3 kids while working is not something Besk nor Xi gave much thought to. They were a team.
Lately, their team meetings consisted of cuddles in bed & Besk awaking to an empty side.
When he found her in the kitchen, no words left his mouth. Watcher, he missed his wife.
"I bet football is going to be a piece of cake for you now. First werewolf captain!"
At that moment, no place felt more secure than her dad's arms. They still weren't close by any means but it was nice knowing her dad was in her corner.

Connie slumps in her chair. The weight of telling her truth off her shoulders.

Rory already told me about your training. If you ever feel like you can't take it, you can go wherever you need to be. But this home will always be here for you."
Silence continues. How does she explain this? That every full moon, she loses control of her body & turns into an animal driven by emotion, fearful & angry.
