Adrien could barely spot the blue-blackness of her hair over the pale pink that engulfed her. He chuckled at the adorable sight she made and moved forward to help her steady the roses, so she could find a vase. He watched her eagerly as she arranged the flowers to her liking. Adrien laughed lightly as her designer eye nit-picked the arrangement. His laughter grunted out before starting back over as she nearly tackled him.
His arms easily encircled her tiny waist as he held her to him. The waxy residue of her lipstick tickled his face as she showed her appreciation. “Je t'aime aussi, mon ange,” he whispered to her. He leaned back from her onslaught to meet it with his own kiss to her lips. Hands smoothed down her back and around to her hips. Adrien poked his thumbs under her top to stroke at the delicate skin that stretched over her hipbones.
It was a little disheartening to think how readily she accepted his roses now that there was no leather mask or tail. That was in the past, he scolded himself. She chose him and that’s all that mattered now. Not the pain either had been subjected to as they circled in their game of cat and bug.
Gently, he pushed back on her hips to separate their bodies and then mouths so he could meet her eyes. He felt the corners of his eyes crinkle as he smiled widely. “If that’s how you act about flowers, I can’t wait for your reaction to jewelry.” The brow waggle he offered was all Chat Noir.
