Woooooooooo! What a 48 hours that has been! We did it, we did the #gogginschallenge with @billyyangfilms and a spirited global community on Zoom over the weekend. 48 miles. In 48 hours. Running 4 miles. Every 4 hours. And what I love about this most is the beauty created through constraints. Many of us are staying very close to home and have indeed been under lockdown in recent weeks. Our time is different than it might have been in a previous world. 2020 is upside down and forcing us to reevaluate so many things in our lives. Would we have done this 3 months ago? Maybe not. But the simplicity and the challenge and the connectedness captured our hearts. I could focus on what would have been. But that's a past world. No point focussing on an ultramarathon that might have been this weekend, or races missed in recent months. Creativity and thinking with new perspectives helps us in all this. This was a really powerful reminder this weekend. 48 miles (78 kilometres) - tick. Memories made - tick. New perspectives - tick. That love for running - tick. A group of global (and local!) companions - tick. To @chris__howard_ , thank you for always dreaming big and being the catalyst to making this shared adventure happen. ❤️😘 Thank you @billyyang for bringing us together and what a team effort eh! 👑✨🏃♂️🏃♀️ #gogginschallenge #billyyang #48miles48hours #extraordinaryultra #bestaidstations https://www.instagram.com/p/B_-99xDHxdMshbqeqQaUrsbF9vhFNNGzsipGMM0/?igshid=1mqmmuw9fyi9f
