We just found this picture from my 3rd grade book. This was taken on Grandparents Day. This is how my granny and I normally were, always near each other. I was always so close with granny and grandpa. They always showed up whenever we needed them or wanted them there. I love and miss you both so much!! Happy National Grandparents Day to the 2 people that are like my second set of parents! They mean the entire world to me. I miss my grandpa so much! He would always pick @nicolehettenhausen and I up from school everyday. He would be the first person there waiting. He loved taking us out to eat after school. I miss our talks. He was the best grandpa! My granny is my best friend. We would always run errands together. She taught me how to do laundry. We would have sleepovers and play games most of the night. She's the sweetest woman I've ever met. I wish I could see her more. Thank you for always being there for me no matter what! Day 20...Papa's have a way SCRIPTURE: Proverbs 17:6 I read somewhere once that a girl would marry a man that reminded her of her Daddy. While that wouldn't neccessarily a horrible thing, it appears that I married a man like my Papa Ray. He had a way about him...a way that revealed a little glimpse of Christ. When I was little Papa tried to keep everything organized...there were coffee cans of a certain size nails, butter bowls of screws, containers of nuts & bolts all over his shop. When I met David, he thought that I could have gotten just a little of my crazy from Papa 😅😅. Of course, my heart amiled this morning when I discovered that apparently Papa had a way that had rubbed off on Big D even though they never met. Today I am thankful for Papas!! Join me today as I say a prayer for Papa's everywhere. Ask God to allow HIS love to ooze out of the pores of grandfathers all over this earth. Please let the good things carry on generation after generation. I pray that every child alive to have Papas that teach them little things they will need later in life.
