The Lioness (1832) by Aloys Zötl.
Taken from 'The Bestiarium of Aloys Zötl'.
Watercolour.

Here is one of the first creatures I designed for the Bestiarium.
Ideally im thinking on making the entire thing into a book, with the first tome being focused on a desertic environment. Its been fun using some of the knowledge from my biology studies ( tho i did marine bio, so not completely applicable haha)
This guy is meant as a key predator of this ecosystem, though there are larger predators that may occasionally prey on them.
Other critters:
Başak
Iskra
A small force for Deth Wizards, printed Bestiarium figures from the recent Kickstarter. Took about 20 minutes to paint (seriously) to this level.
I'm going for a loose watercolor and ink look because that's what Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark did and that's what works.
I'll do some basic highlights and some simple basing later tonight, and probably load a dozen more on the printer because these are wonderful.
