Today's #igquiltfest prompt is #besttipever - and my best tip ever received was to *always* remember to set your stitch to 1.5mm when #foundationpaperpiecing. So so important! There are times I forget to do this, and end up ripping threads out when I go to remove the paper backing...as happened with this quilt. I completely forgot to set my stitch length while sewing a portion of this quilt, and removing the paper was such a doozie! Linking up this #fpp quilt today with #cslentipj as the theme of "servant" was so fitting. Holy Thursday is just a few weeks away, giving us all plenty of time to reflect on our own servant leadership. For me, this means taking a look at why I do what I do - is it for a pat on the back? A "good job, Jen"? Or am I doing it humbly, with grace, in the caring of others? Do I make a point of sharing how many loads of laundry I folded, how many messes I cleaned up, and how long the struggle at the grocery store was when my husband walks in the door? Or do I meet him with a smile and ask how his day was? So much to think about in these last few weeks of Lent.
