I'm a beta - Now what?
Guide to being a makoharu festival beta!
Once you have signed up to the 'be-a-beta' page you will be placed on the beta page for people to contact.
Each batch you will have a certain amount of slots that you decide on. When you fill a slot contact the fest blog so that the number of open slots can be changed. When the batch ends and the next one begins your slots will all open again.
People can contact you via your email or blog and you will sort out amongst yourselves how the editing process will go. They will send the work to you then you will edit it. They will credit you on their entry when you send it back to them followed by their submission being sent and posted on the fest blog.
Alternatively there will be a list created throughout the festival of fiction that has not been beta'd that you can choose from. If you choose one of those all you have to do is contact the fest blog with the story you will be beta'ing so that it can be removed from the unedited story list.
Once you have beta'd the work submit it via 'submit' or send it to '[email protected]'
