EA beckons you to return to the land of Britannia.
So this announcement comes with a mixed emotions.
On the one hand its nice to see that EA has dusted off the ol' cloth map and is giving the Wold of Ultima life again as a cross platform RPG. On the other it seems half-assed since its a cross platform RPG that doesn't include Xbox or PS3 at least its browser based.
I'm also VERY skeptical about who they have working on this which is (you guessed it) Bioware.
(boy let me tell you, when EA buy a company they have them do EVERYTHING. Im surprised these guys aren't ironing their shirts and making lunch)
In either case, get your IPads ready for some finger sliding Avatar romps. Sign up for the beta (why don't ya)
I guess they are non-to-happy about Lord Britishes (original creator of the Ultima Universe) new endeavor and want to just snuff out his project before it takes off.

We just launched our newly designed landing page late last night! If you all remember, when you went to cloudeas.com, you originally got our blog, but now that our company is growing and our product is getting ready to test, we needed to have a little bit more on us online. You can still get to our blog by either clicking the link from the Cloudeas home page or by entering http://cloudeas.tumblr.com.
We're also extremely excited to announce that we will be accepting beta signups from people all over the world! Our plan is to have 2 beta trials: the first a private beta with professors from both USD & UCSD (our alma mater) and the second (very soon after) with anyone and everyone interested.
