KDChi Beta Upsilon Fall 2019 Recruitment
NIU Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. Published on Sep 10, 2019
The top 3 pumpkin painters from our Halloween fun social event! (Left to right: Danielle Victory, Sarah Kneip, and Katie MacLeod).
I helped run this project and am so excited to see it go viral! Please share!
Why should you rush Phi Sigma Pi this Spring? Here's why.
Dear anyone from Rhode Island or Beta Upsilon chapter who is following me or otherwise viewing my blog:
I know you're there, I can see you getting on my tumblr by searching the "Beta Upsilon" tag. I can see people from Narragansett and from other places on campus going through page after page of my stuff.
Please just introduce yourself, because frankly it feels like you're stalking me. Let's be friends instead. Because I look at it this way: even though I haven't reached out to sisters in the chapter here at school, I also don't e-stalk them, and since only a few (Erin and Sarah and their ELC, Amanda) have reached out to me, I'd really appreciate it if y'all didn't e-stalk me, either.
I'd totally love to get to know you, we can totally be friends and maybe you can help me decide whether or not I actually want to affiliate here. I'm just starting to get really uncomfortable with not knowing who you are when you're going through my entire tumblr.
With Xi love, J. Nicole :)
I love Lambda Chi Alpha... and I can never be a ninja.
I recently found out that our wonderful Pi-Zeta chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha thought that we, the lovely ladies of the Zeta Iota chapter of Sigma Kappa, did not like them. well, they knew that the older girls weren't too fond of them. and they thought that we were under the suggestion of our older sisters so much that we didn't like them either. even though they really like our pledge class (Beta Upsilon). so tonight, we decided to change all that.
instead of practicing for our sight singing midterm tomorrow (oops!), myself and three other wonderful sisters (dhuf.tumblr.com, julayanne.tumblr.com, and jarm12916.tumblr.com) went to a practice room (because we were eventually gonna practice) and made a bunch of really cute Sigma Kappa ♥s Lambda Chi Alpha signs for all of their doors. well, all the ones we knew of.
Phi Mu does the same thing (because our Phi Mu and Lambda Chi Alpha chapters are super close) and I've been getting a little jealous. we're not really super close with anyone right now. apparently our chapter used to be pretty close with our Alpha Sigma Phi chapter. and some of us still are (my grandbig's best friend is an Alpha Sig). our Alpha Tau Omega chapter just rechartered. and apparently we've been trying to get closer to them since they've come back.
but honestly, I've always preferred the gentlemen of Lambda Chi Alpha. maybe I'm a little biased. Joe's a Lambda Chi. and even before we were dating, I knew he was a Lambda Chi and therefore favored them because I already knew one of them. and last semester I hung out with one of them for a while... and even though things didn't end up how I thought they would, he's still a nice guy.
the men of Lambda Chi Alpha are classy gentlemen. and I think that the Sigma Kappas (who are, in my opinion, the classiest women on campus) should work to fix things with these men. "sneaking" around and putting up our glitter-covered door signs was our way of saying, "We love you, Lambda Chi Alpha!" the Beta Upsilon pledge class of Sigma Kappa wants to reconnect. and I don't think our next pledge class-going through now-has anything against you either. I just don't know their letters. we want to get to know you guys better. we should hang out... or something. COME TO OUR FUNCTION THIS SATURDAY!! the theme is "Rescue Me" so think hero-type things (cop, doctor, superhero, Jesus, etc...).
I really hope everyone likes their new signs. they were made out of love. and a lot of effort went into putting them up and trying to make it a surprise (which is hard when you all hang out in the lounge where most of you live!). and I hope you never again have to worry about our feelings for you.
ΣΚ ♥ ΛΧA
also, if anyone asks, this was our way of thanking you for a fun time at conclave. deal? cool.
RELAY FOR LIFE!
This year, over 1.4 million Americans will hear the words, "You have cancer." Each of us has our own reasons for caring about the fight against cancer, but it seems like we all know someone who has battled this disease. This spring, the Beta Upsilon chapter of Phi Sigma Pi is helping to fight back. On April 13th at Amherst College, my brothers and I will be walking to help raise awareness and help the American Cancer Society create a world with less cancer, but we can't do it without your help. Any donation you can make, large or small, will help me and my team reach our fundraising goal, helping us reach the greater goal of saving lives from cancer. It starts with a participant, a team, and a dollar. Thank you for your support.
DONATE AND FIGHT WITH US!
Thank you again!
