stargirl 1x5 mini-review (no spoilers)
a little stargirl 1x5 praise, so shoutout to melissa carter who wrote this week’s episode. i’ll start off by saying that i really enjoyed this episode more than the last two in terms of pacing and stuff like that. i was hoping beth would be focused on in this episode sort of like yolanda in 1x4, but for an episode that didn’t just focus on her and included a flashback that i consider just as good as the first, i was impressed. i feel like an episode that focused on each individual recruitment would have been better but im guessing it’s happening this way for the sake of getting things started.
she may be a chatterbox but i adore beth and i hope she gets treated better in future episodes because she only wants to help. she clearly doesn’t like being alone and i think the point of these past episodes is to show that she feels alone most of the time. so with all that, it made me sad to see her be pushed away by almost everyone this episode. i can only hope that changes because judging by the ending, they need her. rick, on the other hand, is gonna take a while to grow on me after everything he did and said. i understand the emphasis on a rough childhood, but that doesn’t justify things. i’m still looking forward to some character growth, though. lastly, i liked jake and yolanda’s brief encounter this episode because even though some of us might have anticipated it, i’m interested to see how that’s gonna go. i liked it :)))
RIP Beth Chapman
Watching the best of Dog The Bounty Hunter, and I never realized how much his wife Beth is my frickin hero. This lady helped her husband catch bad guys while wearing heels (every time!) She had pink handcuffs, a glittery ammo bag, gloves that had holes specially cut so her manicured nails and wedding ring could still be out and exposed. Not to mention, her dynamic with Dog? Amazing. She didn't take crap from him and let him get away with saying anything stupid to her. For a big bad bounty hunter, it was clear as day she put the fear of God in him. RIP Beth Chapman; thank you for being the best rock that your husband could have asked for.
I am so heartbroken... she is one of my idols. Such a beautiful human inside out. She’s with the Angels now. I love you Beth 💔
Watching the Dog the Bounty Hunter marathon and missing Beth.
She was a beautiful and strong woman.
It's 3:46am and I miss Beth Chapman.
