I made a rainbow porg! And my cat is a very adorable dick. Life is, lifelike. Empire next weekend, terrifying as usual!
New bag to put my knitting in!
Finished BB-8 mini-quilt!
So close to being done! Binding is pinned, but I'm fuzzy brained and don't think I can manage the join without cocking it up this evening. The front looks awesome but I don't want to post it until it's completely done. I almost don't want to let this one go :(
Stuff! Finished Kylo Ren yarn beanie. Ongoing Sprites Fen laceweight shawl. Front and back of a swap mini quilt (on the theme of sea monsters) And a needle book made for the same swap.
I feel he needs a hat... (pink!Hux + fox!Hux is a terrifying thing) (not actually fandom, it's for a swap, it just amuses me)
Would you care if Obi Wan had a slightly bent lightsaber? All vague innuendos aside, in trying to work out if I care enough to start again or if I can hide it via embroidery or quilting later.
Current in progress / oh god what am I doing pile... 1. Sockhead hat. Gorgeous yarn, at least 9 inches of stockinette in the round to go. Brainless knitting. 2. Pile of random blocks I've made in the last few months... test death star from a swap I did (wasn't too keen on the light/dark contrast, will probably become a pillow), two foxes I've made cos they're small and cute (no idea what I'm going to do with them), star trek insignia made as a test for a swap (the blue is slightly too dark for the science division, bff claimed it, not sure what she wants me to do with it), background, see below. 3. PATTERNS! Back row - rebellion insignia for shits and giggles, squirrel for a friend's Xmas/birthday gift, teapot for a different friend's birthday gift. Front row - fox (already sewn), BB8 for a swap, lightsabers for a swap, bat (see below) 4. Cushion cover made from the remaining half square triangles from my quilts for pulse blocks. Needs quilting and actually turning into a cushion cover. Looks innocuous, has quite a lot of meaning. 5. Bat block for a friend's birthday present. Will likely be made into a maker's tote or a knitting needle roll. Not sure. Currently in time out after an argument with a seam. There's also two other knitting projects lurking about the house, a stack of flying geese blocks to be turned into zipper pouches and the stacks of fabric for bag making for Blueberry Bits. Here's to a crafty 2017, in which I actually finish some stuff for me! (bat by lillyellastitchery, bb8, rebel insignia and lightsabers from fandominstitches, squirrel and teapot from quietplay, Fox from stars-and-sunshine all on instagram)
