Striking deep into a heart so small
Gripping onto the hilt of my sword, still sheathed, I was infuriated. Screaming towards the war front, " How can this be?! HOW CAN THIS BE?!" Men, women, children twisting and forming into these wretched creatures, as if this evil came from the pits of the black kingdom itself. "No, why? WHY?!" I drew the sword from my sheathe, as if preparing for a fight. There were so many, so many of them, a sickness churned in my stomach at the sight of their transformation. How did this evil find its way to Bethany's Cane? I began to back slowly into the woods, as these... these Orcs? Goblins? Possibly, but a breed this evil I've never encountered. I must warn Delvin and the others, the time of the black kingdom has come, yet the hearts of the masses so small. We are too far and few in between, only an army of the thousands could break this barrier of evil gridlock. "Haste!" I thought to myself, " I must make haste!" sliding my sword back into its sheathe, I quickly gathered the few goods that had been left on the ground near the camp fire. Scurrying, and struggling with the items in my hands, I ran towards my steed and made sure her bridle was secure, grabbing her reigns, flinging myself onto her back. Leaning over, I spoke calmly and softly into her ear, "Almanadesh dosfestaedru." The steed bolted quickly towards the west, and onward into the horizon.
