What do you think Ruby means in 2x06 when she says that Rio probably has a gun Beth and blood diamond Beth and human trafficking Beth?

beth: it’s not fair. we deserve a cut.

ruby: [sarcastically] ‘cause that’s what it’s about.

beth: what else would it be about?

ruby: drug beth?

beth: whatever.

annie: wait, what’s drug beth?

ruby: [points at beth] counterfeit beth [points in the nebulous area behind her] drug beth. and you know he’s got a gun beth and a blood diamond beth and a human trafficking beth...

so, i’ve seen other people take that comment to mean that rio's just using beth for whatever criminal activities he’s got going on and will continue to do so even as he “flips [his] game” from one operation to another. that’s one interpretation.

personally, i think ruby meant that beth was just one of a handful of women he was both sleeping with and using to do his business with. beth was a part of his counterfeit operation and he was sleeping with her—counterfeit beth. dylan was a part of his drug operation and, based on the way he hugged her and interacted with her, it looked like he was also sleeping with her—therefore she was drug beth.  ruby took it further saying that rio’s got a woman he’s using/sleeping with for any other game he might have his hand in—guns, blood diamonds, human trafficking (ruby went a little overboard haha). but she just meant that beth wasn’t special because she wasn’t the only one rio had that type of relationship with, and that was the real reason beth was going through all that trouble to screw rio over with the pills. she was hurt. ruby was calling her out (by calling rio ‘i’ve got hoes in different area codes’ gangfriend out).
