Excellent point. We all have the ability to - generally speaking Team Delusional seems to be the exception tbh - avoid things we don’t wish to see. But the thing is, team Delusional doesn't upset me, I don’t merely disagree with it. It baffles me.
The idea that Beth could be alive and the writers would even wish to undo all the character development, mood setting and plot that came about largely thanks to Beth and Tyreese’s demise is utterly ludicrous.
And when things baffle me I like to discuss it. But in all fairness, I never quite get to do this on an even playing field, meaning with people who are for, against, and undecided in their opinions on the subject. Just as a proper, respectful debate should be.
Because every time - and believe me I have held this very same opinion since the conception of Team Delusional - I have had maybe two such instances where that could be true. The rest either never existed or rapidly developed into name calling and finger pointing before anything remotely similar to a debate could be had. And unfortunately, in my experience, the name calling and finger pointing came from the Team Delusional side every single time.
You say, “-is it really too much to ask for you not to post your opinion in a tag where people will disagree with you?” Honestly, this also baffled me, because this is not how the world, or even casual discourse works. I have a lot to be baffled about today it seems.
My point in posting the post you replied to this morning was for clarification. Alternative opinions do not necessarily equate hate. And in fact, if you wish your tag to be rid of them completely that points to a certain rigidity to your own opinions and a blindness to understand others or even consider them especially considering the mounting evidence that all points to the fact that Beth is indeed not returning and is in fact, dead. Just as she was portrayed on screen.
Which, unfortunately, does not strengthen your position, it weakens it.
