I suck at drawing hands! Like really suck! I get the shape when I'm doing you know my stick figure then adding detail but when it comes to hands??? It has to do with the fingers and I'm just all messed up... LOL. Any help would be appreciated! I love all types of art BTW... But I always go back to anime, or portraits!
Perhaps take a look at the tutorials I have for hands here? Hopefully one of them will help! They all have different ways of looking at them.
For you specifically it may help to think of fingers as one unit. Unless the hand is splayed, fingers often stay together in groups. Drawing the general shape of the hand first could help you get the idea down, then you can add the individual fingers later on. I personally really like how Sycra explains this (the video is a bit long, but I think it’s worth watching in its entirety).
