I’ve made the realization about my two siren characters who are based on halfmoon bettas.

These two are often seen as the most flamboyant and aggressive of their siren type, which is great and all, but... their long fins would only be elegant and graceful while moving slowly. Anytime these two would want to actually get anywhere...

... you’d get the betta wiggle.

And just think about how much more obvious this would be on a human-size scale! Amazing.
