Securing the perimeter.
We were getting stuck in potholes while running back to our castle at night, and zombies were swarming around too close to the castle. In the past, our walls and fences kept getting demolished by meteor and tornado strikes, so we rebuilt the the outer area with a (hopefully tornado-proof) stone wall and floor, and then added a set of high-level meteor shield. The two purple sky beams are from the meteor shields. Supposedly they will prevent meteors from falling anywhere within a wide radius around them.
The giant horizontal gap in the center is also part of the plan: I'm using a ComputerCraft mining Turtle to open up one side of the castle so that we can fly moderate-sized airships directly into it, and park them in the courtyard. This way our vehicles will also be shielded from tornados and meteors.
