Input/ Data Validation

When ever you expect data from others - to be passed on to you or you are reading from a config file which others may change, please check if the data is present and validate the format.

Timeout for all API/ HTTP calls

Ensure that you specify a time out for any API/ any other HTTP call you make. When THE API or HTTP endpoint is down, you application may wait for ever.
