Cute sarchengsey proposal AU: as they sat and watched the election go worse and worse Henry was like ‘don’t worry guys I’m Canadian I’ll save you’ and then realized he’d basically proposed and everyone got all touched and kinda overwhelmed with how much they love each other and they haven’t talked about it really but Henry has definitely called them 'his fiancées’ without really thinking about it and every time it happens they all just get all giddy with their love for each other and it’s basically the cutest gayest thing okay

(and yeah Henry can’t legally marry both of them but it doesn’t mean they’re not gonna do their best to pretend)

Consider: sarchengsey going grocery shopping. Gansey's got an extensive list but probably doesn't know where to find anything. Henry I grabbing all the cheap little toys they have hanging off the shelves (and pop tarts. My son Henry loves him some pop tarts). Meanwhile Blue is loading up on the yogurt and giving a nasty look to the singular head of broccoli in their cart. (Pls add to if you want when/if you have the spoons)

gansey doesn’t know how to navigate a grocery store. growing up, he almost never did the shopping, and when he traveled, he mostly ate at restaurants or ordered room service from hotels, and since he’s lived at monmouth, it’s mostly pizza and cereal and That’s It.

(this is partially because he’s got texture sensitivity issues and an extremely limited diet. this is also partially because he doesn’t know how to cook Anything, especially not in monmouth’s bathroomkitchen.)

blue has some technical knowledge of working an oven, but limited knowledge of actual recipes, and she’s got a pretty simple palette too? not nearly as picky as gansey but like... she’s happy with just. yogurt. maybe some tasty bread. chocolate granola bars. peanut butter. 

blue enlightens everyone to the fact that peanut butter is a Meal. during the sarchengsey road trip, they buy it by the jar and just eat it with spoons because it’s easy, tasty, proteiny and sugary, and doesn’t go bad! 

henry is a sugar fiend!! pop tarts, candies, cookies. he balances this by being the only one among them who a) knows how to cook and b) actually cares about eating Meals. he makes sure they’re fed and nourished and occasionally urges them to eat vegetables, because if it was just blue and gansey, they’d forget that food exists as a life necessity. 

he likes to buy silly little toys, yeah!! those little dinosaurs that grow when you put them in water? he’s Collecting Them All. those little sticky hands that you throw at stuff? Yes. 

(sometimes, he passes them out to kids they meet in their travels, usually to cheer up kids who are grumpy/sad at rest stops!)

When sarchengsey gets a house together at some point in their lives, they plant a huge garden, consisting of a huge, well nurtured mint bush. They try not to plant too many flowers, but put them far away from the mint bush if they do. That way Gansey doesn’t get so freaked about pollinators, though he’s still careful around spring and summer in their garden (when I say Gansey is careful I mean his datemates are on high alert and flank him at all times when they garden). At some point, Gansey is able to really enjoy his time in the garden with mud splattered Blue and Henry.
