((Hello Homestuck! I have no idea how to RP in that world, so have some headcanon instead!))
Maria, when she was still in school, had what her teachers considered to be an unhealthy obsession with serial killers. Her favorite was Jack the Ripper, and she had, by the time she graduated high school, a complete profile on him. She has her own theories as to his identity, and has tried to access the SHIELD, UNIT, and even Torchwood's databases on him to confirm. Each time she was denied due to insufficient clearance.
Her goal is to convince Fury that she should be granted access for a legitimate reason, which she has yet to formulate properly.
