bettybox
On looking for subscription boxes with a younger audience in mind, we came across bettybox. It’s directed towards young people over the age of thirteen, when they’d start hitting puberty, and clearly on the site shows it tackling issues like depression and what colours are normal for period blood.
The colours are bright and fun and engaging, the visuals just right for their target audience. The imagery is cute and almost reminds of Paperchase’s aesthetic with the varying patterns and kitschy styles. It mentions including things like stationery in their boxes, not just products to help you feel good and aid in having a comfortable period. These little extras fit well with the teenage demographic, stationery more an embellishment to an older audience whereas its nice having more permanent gifts if you’re younger.
