Favourite moments from 2025: learning to longboard.

I found a board near a trash can on one of my walks and it seemed out of place for the location (and bc knowing the area, it’s not the best place for skating- you’d be better off walking or biking the trail). I told myself if it was still there on my way back home 40 min later, I’d try to take it for a spin if the condition was decent. I ended up really liking it and felt connected to it right away; so different from my attempts to learn bike riding last year which felt very clunky and wasn’t physically very comfortable. On my skate days as I got more confident with my basic board control, I’d make my way to a nice park overlooking the city to have some cooldown time, eat a snack, and sometimes do some reading. It was a really neat hobby to develop and connect mind to body with a new skill I didn’t have before.
