What excuse are pro-Assads going to come up with? I’m curious as to what “facts” they’re going to fabricate out of their asses.
This has been going on for quite some time, and as much as I want to, I’m not going to call out specific people on tumblr; instead, I’ll address this issue to the wider public.
Too many unqualified people have been reprimanding Syrians for their views on the Syrian revolution, constantly criticizing them for supporting “Western imperialism” and "Islamist terrorists”. Syrians are regularly lectured about “what’s in their best interest”, “what’s good for the country”,”how they are at loss, whichever side wins”, etc. by shamelessly condescending people who lack knowledge of the country’s history/background. Their supposed “wisdom” is an infuriating matter to deal with.
None of us asked to hear your detailed opinion about a revolution you do not understand. Last time I checked, you weren’t the one who suffered or had loved ones suffer under the rule of the Baathist regime. Trust me when I say this: None of the Syrians who took to the streets, demanding basic human rights, are losing sleep over your petty analysis ــــــbombardments are what keeps them up at night, not what the world thinks of them on social networks.
Entirely belittling the Syrian Revolution and the genuine sacrifices Syrians have made for the sake of freedom because you judged its credibility through the crimes of a minority, not only makes you an ignorant individual, it also proves how unfit you are for political debates and real-life issues.
Kindly (or not, I really don’t care), if you’re astigmatism doesn’t allow you to realize that the Syrian/Iranian State TV don’t show accurate depictions of the events unfolding in Syria, shut your mouth and keep your irrelevant opinion to yourself. You’re insignificant.
