“I need you to pretend to be my partner so one of my co-workers will stop trying to go outw ith me,” Khloe said and she wasn’t above begging at this point. The co-worker was someone that was new to her office because she had at least experienced peace for most of her time there. Now he wouldn’t leave her alone and despite being a district attorney, Khloe didn’t really like dealing with confrontation in her personal life. Especially not as a woman in a male dominated building.

“My family doesn’t really want me around during the holidays,” Beatrice admitted, setting the food down in front of them. This was the next best thing for them, having a meal with someone that she cared about and when there weren’t a bunch of college kids partying downstairs. Thank God they were going home, at least. “So I’ll be here all year around, constantly trying to make sure that you eat well and that you’re happy,” she nodded, sitting down at the table and starting to eat her mashed potatoes. She had tried to make something that was a little fancier. At the end of the day the main dish was sausage surrounded by bacon. But with mashed potatoes, it sounded classy.

"I need something to eat or like a fuck ton of coffee because my ability to focus is slipping away from me," Rei complained, gently smacking her own cheeks in an attempt to wake herself up more. At least she wasn't working. "I'm leaning more towards coffee because that's cheaper and I can't promise feeding me at this point will help me stay awake."

Now he was caught in cookie monster pants, a stained t-shirt, mountain dew, and tears running down his face from the storyline drama of the video game he’d been playing.

Saebyeok knew approaching a stranger like this, in her regular clothes and far from her temple was a toss up. But when she saw them, she had seen something that they desperately needed to know. There have been multiple times throughout her life that she had wished she had a better control on fortune telling ability.  Most of the time, what she was seeing told her things that she couldn’t change no matter how hard she tried. But this was something that she could fix. “Excuse me,” she said softly, smiling politely.

“I think it might be haunted, if we’re being honest with each other,” Meteor said, sounding slightly anxious as he looked at the item that had been sold to him as pottery. That was definitely someone’s deep-fried grandmother. And since they were running an antique shop, it left them in a bit of an uncomfortable situation. “Like, it’s a very pretty piece! They definitely spent a lot of money to give her a nice final resting place. But... It’s an urn. It’s just an urn. The name is on the bottom and so is the date, she died like twenty years ago. And I’m worried if I sell it, she’ll be pissed?”

“Aw man, it ripped my pinky nail off,” Hana said, inspecting her right nail as she held the mouth of the alligator shut. The alligator that had been fully prepared to bum rush the poor individual that had been walking along and minding their business. She knew that they were all lucky that no one got hurt, and part of it was Hana’s familiarity with reptiles. This one wasn’t as big as it could have been, she had seen some massive alligators when she was growing up in Florida. She was just thankful that this one was easy enough for her to get on top of and keep from sinking it’s jaws into the person. Because as scary as their mouths could be, they were really only good at closing. Which was why Hana was able to keep their mouth shut. “You should come to the alligator park sometime, they do look like flat dinosaurs.”
