This. • This is a great reason to get up every day. To work hard. To get my shit together even when I don’t want to, or don’t think it’s possible. • This kid has inspired me to work harder than I EVER have in my life. - Harder than I worked to stay in school when everyday was a battle because of bullies. - Harder than I worked while a Division I student athlete in the basketball program at Coastal Carolina. - Harder than I worked overcoming my trauma from grade school and middle school while comparing myself to every other 20 something year old. - Harder than I worked figuring out what the hell I wanted to do with my life and returning to graduate school in my 30’s. • She makes me feel like I can do ANYTHING. And it’s true. I can tell she’s anxious about me leaving for San Diego next week for 5 days. She likes it when ‘we are all together’. She doesn’t really say it much but I can tell in her snuggles and her behavior she’s trying to process some feeling of anxiety and sadness. I offer as many chances as possible for her to talk about it and sometimes she takes me up on it. I can sense her trying to manage and process her feelings on her own. I’m so proud of her. I hope she knows I am always there to listen and hear her when she wants to talk about it. I will only be gone five days babes, then back to the frozen tundra. This is the exact moment and location I made a major life decision and took a chance and JUMPED! I signed up, last minute, to go to San Diego to the social media marketing world conference and network my ass off and learn as much as I can about how to grow my business online.
