How to get to WhereCamp Berlin?
We want to create a great atmosphere at the next edition of WhereCamp Berlin so it’s important for us to make you get rid of the main concerns: accommodation and transport.
We will start with the basic information about the venue location:
Beuth University is situated almost 3 km from the main railway station in Berlin (Hauptbahnhof - Berlin) and approximately 8 km from Berlin Tegel Airport.
The building stands on a nice area which is full of students.
What transportation are available?
· Metro Station Amrumer road (line 9):
· S-Bahnhof West Port
with 10 minutes walk to the Beuth University
· Bus (lines 142 , 221) Luxemburger Straße stop
· Tram (lines M13 , 50) stop Seestraße / Amrumer road: with about 10 minutes walk to the Beuth University
· From Berlin Hauptbahnhof:
-With the S75 (direction Spandau) to the Zoo - then take the U9 (Osloer Straße) to Amrumer road (about 20 minutes)
-By bus 142 (direction U Leopoldplatz) to station U Amrumer Str or directly in front of the cafeteria to the station Luxemburger Str (Mon-Sat every 20 min, journey time approx 11 min)
· From Zoologischer Garten:
The U9 (direction Oslo Road) to Amrumer road (about 8 minutes)
Located across from the Beuth University, directly on the Luxembourg road, is the Beuth own parking garage. Access is via the Triftstraße (about Luxemburgerstraße and Tegeler road to reach).
Nearby you can find many parking spots also. You can check the map to find which one will fit best.
-With the bus X9 to Zoologischer Garten and then with the U9 (direction Oslo Road) to Amrumer road
-By bus TXL (Alexanderplatz) to underground station Turmstrasse, and then take the U9 (direction Oslo Road) to Amrumer road (approximately 30 minutes)
· From Schönefeld Airport:
-The S45 to station federal court - then take the U9 (Osloer Straße) to Amrumer road
-With the S42 (circle line) and get off at West Harbour - then take the U9 (Osloer Straße) to Amrumer road (about 1 hour 15 minutes)
What accommodation are available?
JGH Berlin - They have single rooms, double rooms, three- and four-bedrooms as well as business rooms. The prices vary according to what kind of room you choose, they start at 25 € (for 1 person/night).
Smarthostel - It’s a hotel for single and double rooms and it’s a hostel for four-/six-bedrooms. The prices vary according to what kind of room you choose, the most expensive one is around 55 € per night.
Steps-hotel – The rooms are not too fancy but rather practically equipped. Prices vary from 49 € (single room) to 77 € (double room).
Pension Regine Braun- If you don’t find any free rooms in the other places, you can check also this one. Prices vary from 25 € (single room) to 75 € (Quadruple Room).
Tryp Hotel – A more stylish recommendation. It’s at 4 stations and 5 minutes walk from Beuth University.
