I just reblogged a motivational NaNoWriMo post that says "The world needs your novel."
To all my writer friends, those of you who are procrastinating due to insecurity, laziness, lack of time, or some other reason, let me amend those words:
I need your novel.
You are all such fantastic story spinners, all of you. Worlds, characters, emotions, ideas; all come alive for me when I read your work. Nothing would please me more than to hold a physical copy of a story YOU wrote.
Because I have been struggling. A lot. Over something I have no control of but apparently can't accept, either, and I am looking for ways to escape reality that are healthy rather than turning to substances or activities that will make things worse instead of better. This problem is not going to go away overnight, and it may linger for decades. I don't know. What I do know is that I'm very, very tired of it and I need new escapes. I'm willing to wait the year or so it'll take for you guys to refine and polish your work.
(I'll even help workshop because workshopping is so satisfying and productive and fun.)
