11th question follow up (part 2)

My 11th “question” for the 11 Questions meme was for my tagged friends to pick one of my own questions to ask me. 

@bewltched chose #3: What’s a made up or misused word that’s now an inside joke among you and your friends?

There are SO MANY. But one of my favorites is “fatally”. This came about through an unfortunate confusion when a friend misheard a question about a really sad news story. Instead of answering whether the person was killed, she thought she was being asked whether they were shot. So basically her statement was that the person fatally died. Look, I know it wasn’t really appropriate at the time but it struck me as kind of amusing that in this situation “fatally” sounded like it was being used in place of “totally”. So of course this had to be a Thing and now we always say fatally instead of totally.

4. do you get on with your grandpa`?

I got on well with both of them. I was closer to my paternal grandfather, just because he spent more time watching my brother and I whenever we were kids. But he’s been gone for several years now. I like talking with my maternal grandfather and having a couple of beers with him at family events. We aren’t as close, but we definitely get on.  

13. when did you last pet a dog?

This morning before I left for work.

48. did you ever do something as a kid that got you into loads of trouble?

One time my Mom and I argued because I lied about spending the night at my boyfriend’s (at the time) house. I’m sure there were loads of other things, but that event sticks out in my mind more than any other.
