Bella is struggling to make her way through life. She's barely surviving off the ramen and empty cupboards at home while running herself ragged working all the time. She just needs a way out. Enter one Edward Cullen, who is a doctor as well as a single father. Between work and raising his daughter, he has no time. He just needs help.
When Bella gets an offer to fill in for someone on maternity leave at the local elementary school, she does not hesitate to take it. However, when working there, she notices a little girl who's dad seems to be late often...and in her mind, kind of neglectful. They form a bond, and Edward offers her a full-time nanny job.
The chapters in this story are short. Like, drabble short. It's a fairly quick read with minimal angst and lots of laughter, including an adorable little girl. There are parts in this when you'll swoon, when you'll want to shake some sense into Edward and Bella, and others when you'll want to scoop up Lainie and pinch her cheeks.
I liked this story and the author's writing style. She ends the story with four epilouges, which seems like a lot, but they all fit with the story. If you're looking for a filler fic or just something light to read, or if you're looking for some daddyward, this story is the perfect one to read!
