Hey! I am very glad that you share my opinions on the Loki fandom. I love him as a character - a great villain with interesting backstory and many layers. But I hate when people glorify him and justify his actions. So thank you for making many good points as to why appreciate him as an awesome villain rather than a Prince Charming, perhaps more will come to realise that there is more to characters than just good looks.

oh uh this is a bit of a surprise!

i made the post you’re referring to quite a long time ago (a little over 3 and a half years, in fact) and if i’d made it more recently (or if the events that led me to make that post had happened more recently) i no doubt would have worded things differently.

i had a tendency to react very aggressively to any sort of microaggression when i was a teenager, and what happened was a very minor microagression. i used to be incredibly passionate about all things fandom, and that was also part of what caused my fuse to go off so explosively. i’ve never seen anything regarding “loki month” in the years since so it was either a one-off, or i’ve been following the right people.

in a way it’s kind of funny to get this ask now, look back on how i was then and realize i’ve matured quite a bit.

but also; yeah, totally. enjoy a villain for their villainy, for their malicious intent and for their misdeeds. placing value solely on how hot they are (according to conventional standards) leads to villains’ actions being justified by fans, and i’ve seen it in other fandoms besides marvel as well
