Dear friends,

I’ve been telling stories for a long, long time. My sister and I spent the summers in an old house without a tv, so we acted out long plays with involved plots to keep ourselves amused. 

Since we were obsessed with the Archies, often those stories involved Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones.

To be nominated for doing something I’ve loved all my life  takes my breath away. And when I look at the work of my fellow nominees, I’m beyond thrilled to be in such talented company.

However, I’m ALREADY part of an incredible group. All of you out there including those writers who don’t get recognized often, who are just starting out, who slave over stories and feel they don’t get read - I’m incredibly lucky to work with you as well. 

We have an amazing fandom. As in any family, there are squabbles and disagreements, but in the end we agree on one thing - we love two people and their love - and that is a wondrous thing.
