Frank, do you have a favorite breed of cat?
I have had the misfortune to have cats, so I will answer this question with a list of my cats, which I will alphabetize (because alphabetizing is fun):
- an old tabby named Mink who has lived with me for several years and who is always nice to me in a very specific way
- an older greyish-white cat named Cat, who is often less nice and sometimes very mean
- a black cat named Black (originally there were several Black cats, of whom at least one was not named Black)
- a black cat named Smoke, who I named after smoke and which was originally a cat who lived next to me and would occasionally let me pet her but was otherwise not very nice
- a former stray cat named Smog, who has lived with me for less than half a year but is very nice in a specific way
- a Siamese cat named Cinnamon, whose owner sold her to me because they were too old for her and I am a fool who had been neglecting her for a year and couldn't figure out how to take care of a cat
