6 Years of BGS

Yet another year has gone by and we've somehow made it for a double release! We've finally managed to finish another of Nagisa's compilation books too after so many years! Just 2 more to go + all the other books we have TvT

After these past two years, it's pretty clear that we now really only have enough bandwidth for birthday + maybe anniversary releases... But we'll continue to do what we can to bring you the best quality releases, and we really appreciate everyone's support all this while! It's really what keeps us going 🙏

As usual, we're looking for help with our releases (especially translation), do consider reaching out to us via any of our communication channels if you're interested!

10/10 is fast approaching! Just to let everyone know that our release this year will be delayed, as I will be away on a trip for most of October and won't be able to make any posts. I'll post our new release whenever I'm able to, but no guarantees on when :")

BGS 5th Anniversary

Good news: we've made it past the 5-year mark! Somehow!

Bad news: unfortunately we didn't complete a release in time for anniversary release this year...

In these 5 years we've gone from churning out 40 books in a year to barely making it in time for 5/5 and 10/10 T_T Our core members have all been busy with IRL commitments; personally, I have to admit that I've been so swamped with work that I've barely managed to check in on everyone's progress, much less work on any translations... At the rate we're going we definitely won't be able to finish our stash of doujins in this lifetime 💀

We urgently need more JP-ENG translators to help with our releases! If anyone would like to take on the challenge, do consider reaching out to us via any of our communication channels or checking our recruitment post for more details 🙏

Thanks so much to everyone for sticking with us all this while; we're so sorry for the lack of updates in recent years and we'll do our best to continue making progress on our releases, however little ;v;

BGS Turns 4!

Hello everyone!

I’m really sorry it was a slow year and we didn’t have many releases. There are still so many books we want to work on, so I promise I will try harder!! Thanks again for all your continued support <3

I could swear I was drafting our 3rd anniversary post just yesterday... Where did all the time go 😭😭

Back when we first started BGS, I was a college freshman with a lot of free time on my hands, and I could churn out books at breakneck pace (remember when we used to have weekly releases?). Fast forward to now, and I've become a full-fledged working adult with a 9-6 job... Unfortunately scanlation has had to take a backseat as I adjust to work life T_T Hopefully things will die down eventually and I'll be able to find more time to translate!

We've got lots of books scanned and ready to be worked on, but unfortunately we're a pretty small team and all of us have our other work+life commitments to attend to. We'll do our best to free up our schedules or find more help, but in the meantime, do bear with the slower release schedule :")

BGS 3rd Anniversary!

Hello everyone! Since I don’t pop in with messages very often, I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank every person over the last few years who has left kind, supportive messages. Each one means a lot and our team appreciates them all! Truly!

We’re a small group, but I feel very lucky to be able to collaborate with these awesome individuals who share in this super fun hobby/passion of mine. Would you believe I’ve been a GinHiji fan since 2006? And I never get tired of reading stories about them. So to anyone who has been a fan of these boys for years, and to all the new fans who are just discovering this pairing, I hope you will all continue enjoying these books along with us!

And… if you enjoy these books, I know we’ve said it before, but please support the authors by buying their books. You might have guessed I am a huge fan of (PLUG) Nagisa-sensei’s work. Nagisa has original books published in English!! So to anyone who, circumstances permitting, is able to buy Nagisa’s books (or any of the author’s works) please show your support!

Hope you've enjoyed our celebration release! It's already been 3 years since we first started BGS, yet the list of books we plan to work on doesn't seem to be getting any shorter... We have so many great books that we would like to share with everyone, but there's just so little time for us to get through them TvT

Lots have changed in these past 3 years, but if there's one thing that hasn't changed, it's our hope to bring more great Ginhiji works to everyone! Thank you to everyone in BGS for their hard work in making sure each and every release is of the highest quality possible, and a special shout-out to Pystacyo who has been with us since the beginning! We really appreciate all that you have done for us :D

Last but not least, thank you so much to everyone who has supported us over these past 3 years, and here's to many more releases to come!

BGS Updates: ✨A shiny new post format✨

Happy 5/5/22 everyone and hope you've enjoyed our first release in *checks calendar* 5 months! I know we've been gone a while, but this is a birthday that we just can't miss!

We've made a few changes to our post format which we will be using moving forward, the main change being that we will only be providing download links to our releases from now on (meaning non-R18 releases will no longer be uploaded entirely in the release post, and Google Drive PDF links will no longer be provided for R18 releases).

The reasons for this decision are manifold, so I won't get into them, but we sincerely seek everyone's understanding regarding this and we apologise for any inconvenience caused!

BGS Updates: Happy 10/10, Goodbye MRM

Hope everyone has enjoyed the two 10/10/2021 releases! Once again, Happy Birthday to everyone’s favourite sweets-lover 🍓🥛🎂 

It’s been quite a while since our last release (5 months and 5 days, to be exact), and to be honest it was quite a close shave for us to get both releases out in time for today 🥲 I was scrambling to get everything ready for posting on both Tumblr and MRM...

...So imagine my surprise when I found out that MRM was just banned in my country _(´ཀ`」 ∠)_

Given that it has become quite a hassle for me to access MRM now, I will no longer be uploading BGS releases on MRM and putting MRM links on our Tumblr posts.

Our no reupload policy remains, but it’s difficult to track reuploads with the sheer number of aggregator sites out there so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ We do wish to stress the following, though: Please do not share our releases on social media platforms such as Twitter!

With that, have a great 10/10!

BGS Turns Two!

Yet another year has gone by in a flash! 

We had originally planned for many new releases in this year, but sadly both of us BGS core members have become incredibly busy with IRL and other commitments, therefore the slowdown ;-; In my case, I've had to tackle between both starting an internship which will last for at least another few months, and moving to a new house, among various commitments.

Moving forward, we will be changing to an irregular release schedule. This means that while we will continue to slowly work on releases, we will no longer be aiming for at least one release per month. As much as we would like to continue churning out releases regularly, scanlation is ultimately a hobby, and given our current situation, we unfortunately would have to take a step back in terms of our frequency of release :”)

This does not mean that we will become inactive, though! Feel free to contact us on email, Tumblr and Discord if you would like to ask us anything, and I will do my best to answer within a few days!

Thank you for sticking with us, and we hope to see you with us next anniversary as well! :D
