I have to ask, where did this info about Jonny hurting his knee in game 6 come from? Just curious. I obviously missed it!
hey no worries. sharpy talked about it during the reliving the 2010 cup win panel during the convention.
he basically said that Q tried to keep it lowkey because he didn’t want philly to know what was up in case there was going to be a game seven. so he sent jonny out for a face-off, jonny stayed out there for maybe 20 seconds or so before going back to the bench and then luckily patrick scored the game winning goal not long after.
and really thank god for that because jonny wouldn’t have been able to play in game seven if they’d lost and you just know his stubborn ass would’ve tried. these are my thoughts btw, sharpy didn’t say this. but i’m sure he thought it too at some point lmao. but like just imagine a game seven without jonathan toews out there? UNIMAGINABLE. and patrick knew it. and so he went out there and won it for them both all. i can’t be convinced otherwise.
