BHOY

One of the most interesting and eye-catching films I’ve seen lately. This coming-of-age adventure story has dystopian-like hunters going after flying whales in the desert. That alone should get you to watch BHOY. Filmmaker Antoni Sendra is one to watch as his exploration of narrative storytelling, using mixed-media animation, can lead to more entertaining and thought provoking results.

I've been quietly working in dribs and drabs lately; there's been a great lot to do around here since arriving in Germany, and it's been frightfully hard to get myself on task when I do have time. When I can manage to nail myself to the chair and work in my sketchbook, I find I've been returning to the motif of the Landsknecht, like this b'hoy here, who over time in my work has been my favorite stand-in for the human figure.
