I was inspired to make this, because someone on the Belos Simp Coven discord server brought up the Wittebanes during a discussion of the Lilo and Stitch 2025 remake and what they did with poor Nani.

Expanding grey!Caleb headcanon, woohoo!! Since I struggle writing I will make a list of my ideas just below the cut!

Before meeting Evelyn, Caleb never thought witches were real. He joined witch hunts because it was "exiting activity for the cool dudes" or something like that. Besides, it definitely earned Caleb certain amount of respect among the townsfolk, which worked perfectly for the two orphans that had to fit in.

Caleb was not scared of witches because he knows that fear is just a tool of control over others. ..But also he knows that humans are worse than any devils there are.

Caleb was purposefully fearmongering Philip about the dangers of witchcraft and the Devil. Why? Well, he wanted his brother to behave like he wanted him to! But this also was making Philip feel more dependant on Caleb, which was a big plus too.

Caleb is a bully, both physically and emotionally. Although he may not realize it completely.

Has strong "us vs them" mentality. It is "kill or be killed" and "bite and eat or starve and die". So Caleb doesn't really care for other people besides his brother. He cant trust them and they don't care about him. So for Caleb it is the survival of the fitest where people dying is completely justified.

Caleb can read, write and do basic math. He managed to learn how to do that while on his apprenticeship and in church.

Great liar and manipulator. If you purposefully wrong Caleb expect a comeback of some sort. He is petty and loves to get revenge on people he doesn't like.

Caleb still has a chance to grow up into a better person.

I chose to pick the colours from the Hollow Mind portraits, because I think they look pretty. But i also made another version with "canon" character colours if you wanted that.

Like Grimwalker Like Ortrate.

In "It could have been different" AU, William (AU!Caleb) and Hunter end up being similar in how they behave. Not because of their genetics, though, or the whole grimwalker thing! They were just raised under very similar circumstances!

They both lived in extremely strict households, with no place for individuality. Their life stories were already decided on by their father figures, and they couldn't stray away from it. They were pushed to their limits, just so they would be perfect at playing their designated part in each oppressive society. They were both willing to conform to be accepted, and they both loved the praise they were given for doing what they were asked to.

There are actually 4 more Hunter expressions that I wish to redraw, but I don't know when I will be able to do so. Because of that I think I will post these 2 first, since they are already finished!

I have an idea. What if Caleb was kind of an asshole in real life and Philip's memories are too clouded by nostalgia?? Mayhaps... I hope I will have time to expand on my Caleb lore, because I have so many ideas I am going to throw up.

Caleb is going to be for sure a dark-grey type of character. And, no, it doesn't stop at witch-hunting.

Yep. Me with my mean Caleb again. Thats how I see Cavelyn's early dynamic. They are both menace to society and making each other worse. (Btw I am still hella busy, just got some hours of freedom and decided to treat myself for good grades. ... This was supposed to be a sketch guys...)

The Head of the Potion Coven - Boscha Ripperonymus!

Little bit of Lore~

Boscha Ripperonymus was married to Amity Blight and is actually the second biological mother of Alador Blight.

Boscha had been putting too much pressure onto her son to succeed and perform well at all the types of magic for years. That only led Alador to push himself beyond his own limits out of guilt, have a nervous breakdown and fail in every class with bad consequences to his health. This became the main reason for the Amity to demand a divorce.

Boscha still can't get over the broken relationship and inability to see her son anymore. Although, even if she understands that it is her fault, she struggles to actually change. "I miss my son and wife, Tails. I miss them a lot."

From the start of the second season leads underground rebellion. Failed execution of Lilith the Lady Raven, Evelyn Clawthorne and Philip Wittebane pushed the potion coven head to fully lose her faith into Luzura's good intentions. Besides, what stops the Empress from eventually harming Alador? Especially since he goes to the same school as the two human children and is friends with Caleb Wittebane? Not to mention the treatment of the Starlight Guard.

Eventually, in the epilogue of the AU, Boscha Rippernymus gets into the romantic relationship with Willow Park, the head of the plant coven.

Off topic rambles below:

I am not too proud of the design for Boscha I ended up with. Mostly because I am not sure that it really tells the viewer much about her as a character. Although, in a way, the coven head's clothes look unfitting in a way that kind of implies that "hey, something is wrong; this is not who Boscha is". And that could play into her sort of redemption arc with the rebellion, where the design can truly feel "hers". More crabby.

I know I have other big projects to draw (I AM WORKING ON THEM I DIDN'T FORGET), but, I literally woke up at 5 am and started drawing this design because I felt too inspired and couldn't sleep for hours with my mind going brrrrrrr!! Now I have a bunch of bald stick-wo/men of all the AU coven heads, waiting for me to design them... When Im gonna do it? I have no idea. My obsessive brain keeps screaming "DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST AND FIND GOOD INSPIRATION BEFORE STARTING OR YOU WILL FAIL AND IT WILL BE UGLY AF!" at me, so I am scared to start again yufyuldfyuldyul. But I want to finish this, just like all of my other wips...

I am still drawing the commission-sheet btw. The "shading" stage takes most of my time to finish. So I wonder if I should make a simpler version of it, and call the og "rendering" with the added highlights and other perks like that, because I put so much effort and time into it.

Hunter is nerding out his Cosmic Frontier infodump on Matt Tholomule.

I really like that in AROFAM Hunter is friends with Amity and Matt instead of canon Gus and Willow. It gives the story so much of the original flavour! Their dynamic is tasty, imho. Quality character interactions.
