One of the hardest parts of this journey for me has been putting size, and, more importantly, shape on my arms. Bodybuilding as a sport is, in major part, about how you look and how well you fit the criteria the judges are looking for. This means that many have a genetic advantage in how their muscle is built to grow, and others have to fight to compensate. Pursuing this has made me think about my body as a constant work in progress and has started to strip me of any shame or embarrassment. I am a constantly evolving work in progress. In becoming a bodybuilder I have become more myself, happier, harder working, prouder, kinder to myself and others. This is how I meet my destiny.
